Hello, everyone! A little over a year ago, I released a list titled “Contemporary Musical Theatre Songs for ‘Legit’ Mezzos and Sopranos.” It turned out to be quite a hit, and I recently converted that list into a full-out guide featuring over 300 songs. Ever since posting the initial list, I’ve had many requests to create a similar contemporary musical theatre resource for classical/traditional-oriented baritones and tenors. Today, I’m thrilled to unveil that very resource!

This new guide features over 300 contemporary musical theatre songs from the 1990s-present that are perfect for both musical theatre singers and classical singers looking to add some great, legit-oriented modern pieces to their repertoire. What does ‘legit’ mean here? Essentially, the musical theatre songs in this guide have more of a ‘traditional’ feel overall. Many require a sustained legato line, projected vocalism, a ‘rich’ tone quality, and some degree of vibrato. From a pedagogical standpoint, this makes them great choices for voice and acting lessons! The guide also includes additional valuable information for each song like tempo, type (comedic/dramatic), and suggested sheet music location. Keep reading for more information about purchasing! P.S.
